Vinyl record cleaning service in Audlem

As a vinyl record enthusiast and being aware of the recent resurgence of interest in vinyl recordings I thought it may be of interest to people to know that I am able to offer a record-cleaning service.

Most enthusiasts will be aware that the best results from this medium are obtained from good hifi equipment and professionally cleaned vinyl. Cleaners are, however, extremely expensive and there are only a few specialist audio dealers that offer a cleaning service.

I have a collection of about 3,500 mainly classical, but also easy, jazz, blues, folk, rock and pop LPs so the purchase of a high-end vinyl record cleaner was economic for me.

This means that I can, therefore, provide a quick and efficient cleaning service to any local "audiophiles", or those who have been inspired by the current surge in interest to dig out their old collections from their attics!

The machine I have is an ultrasonic cleaner, and whilst it won't remove scratches from damaged vinyl, the results of a thorough clean of even the grimiest records have to be heard to be believed!

I believe most of the audio dealers charge £2 to £3 per record. I don't imagine there'll be vast demand so I'm not looking at this as a money spinner, more of a service, but would be asking £1.50 per record initially.

Obviously it costs to run the machine – see the photo – and keep it supplied with distilled water, cleaning solution and peripheral components!
