Update on accident this morning

Audlem St James' school has sent AudlemOnline the following statement following an accident this morning on the Hatherton bends.

"Unfortunately a member* of school staff had a car accident on her way to work this morning.

"Thankfully she escaped unharmed and we hope to welcome her back to school very soon.

"The accident occurred in the 'Hatherton bends' area of the A529, a road I know many of our school community use regularly. I have spoken to the Police and the Highways Department with regards to the ice on the road in this area as slippy and icy road conditions have been reported to me by parents and staff over recent days in the same area.

"I wanted to highlight this to all of our families and ask that you take extra care along this area during the winter months.

"I know you will join with me in sending our (staff member) our very best wishes. Thank you for your understanding with this matter,
