800 years later, Audlem History Society hope to hear Roger Wickson (the gentleman with the greyhound – one of our own historians) talk about the importance of the idea that not even the King was above the Common Law of the land.

The central clauses have seen off hundreds of attempts at annulment, repeal, modification and suspension by successive monarchs and governments.
