Thursday 22nd May, and the Audlem Festival gets underway, kicking off five days of superb free entertainment covering music, art and poetry.
The programme for Day One starts in the evening and features:
7.30pm at The Bridge Inn
The third Audlem Poetry Slam. 15 performance poets go head to head in a live poetry competition. Who will be crowned the Audlem Slam Champ 2014? You decide! We suggest that you get to the Bridge early for a good seat.
9.00pm at the Shroppie Fly
Stepping in at the last moment to replace James Harrison who is unable to be with us now, we are delighted to present Mr Kevin Henderson who has come all the way from Germany to play for us. Kevin Is originally from Aberdeen in Scotland but has taken Germany by storm with his unique interpretations of 60's classics.
9.30pm at The Lord Combermere
The vocalsists from the Travelling Band return to the Festival and gift us with their incredible sounds. Superb harmonies performing top quality Americana.
One not to be missed but get there early as the place will be crammed.
