All those who remember with great affection Dean Taylor's productions of Shakespeare plays in Ralph Warburton's garden at Buerton over many years will be delighted to hear that Dean is returning to Audlem this month.
This time, Dean Taylor Theatre Productions are putting on something completely new, a Sir Tom Stoppard play, 'Heroes', in Audlem Public Hall on Saturday 22nd July at 6.00pm.
Described as 'Dad's Army meets The Last of the Summer Wine', it will, of course, feature the extremely high theatrical standards that are guaranteed with any play led by Dean Taylor.
The Public Hall will be laid out in Cabaret style seating and the bar and refreshments will be available.
'Heroes' is a comedy set on a terrace in the countryside of France, somewhere in 1959. Three Veterans (and a stone dog) look out from their home for old soldiers and dare to dream...
"We're Crusaders, gentlemen, Sabres drawn...after tea we escape." We then follow the three crocks on a campaign beyond the poplars in a search for hope.
