Three new village awards...

...were announced to a packed and appreciative audience at the Public Hall at the climax of the last night of the pantomime. This year it was a lively production of Peter Pan written by Colin Cliffe and involving many of the village children who played their parts with great gusto (see the earlier news item for a full critique).

The first award (not surprisingly) was for the village with the best pantomime.

The second was for the village with the most vehicles parked outside the Co-op.

The third award was to the village with the most committees, which apparently Audlem won by a country mile. A committee will be formed to decide how to spend the prize money for this award.
