Threat to local business

I am very concerned by what I have seen on Facebook. It's concerning George's Pork and Poultry Shop at Lock 15 on the Audlem Flight.

The Canal and River Trust are trying to shut his little shop. I have often been through Audlem on my narrowboat and spend time in the village.

I can't understand why they would want to shut this shop on the canal side. A petition has been started by a fellow boater. Do you know why they are closing it?
