Wonderful Work to Support Our School

This week's AGM was a chance to stop and reflect on just how much Friends' fundraising events have achieved again this year. The AGM meeting was testament to the energy and enthusiasm the Friends team give to school and the generosity of parents and the local community.

Friends' Chair, Claire Wright, presented a summary outlining all of the projects and resources the money raised has been used for. This money will be invaluable in supporting planned work, including the EYFS canopy, the new trim trail, new sports tops, gazebos for use at Sports Day and Town Sports and our duckling hatching experience earlier this term. We have sent out a newsletter from Friends outlining some of their work this year; this is also available on our school website via this link: http://www.audlemstjames.org.uk/friends.html

Friends have raised an amazing £11,500 this year which is a phenomenal amount and a real credit to the drive and enthusiasm of all Friends volunteers and the generosity of our school community. The existing committee members have worked incredibly hard over the last year and I would like to thank them all for their commitment to this important work for school and all of our children. I would particularly like to thank Claire Wright and Pam Jones on behalf of staff, children, parents and Governors as they step down from their roles as Chair and Vice Chair respectively.

They have worked tirelessly to organise a wide range of Friends events and their energies and commitment to Friends have been much appreciated.
Thank you also to Vicki Ammundsen and Sarah Barnett who have once again agreed to continue their roles as Secretary and
Treasurer for another year.
