Many thanks to our readers who have provided comments via Chatbox on the "Apartment to Let" article from a local business. Where appropriate, we will take them all on board and give them due consideration – particularly in relation as to whether a separate page should be made available for such advertisements.

This is perhaps a convenient time to remind our readers of the origin of AudlemOnline which came out of a desire by the 2005 Parish Plan respondents for a Community Website. AudlemOnline was, therefore, set up with two objectives namely:

1) the promotion of local interests particularly businesses, groups and people in the locality.
2) to provide news of events and activities which are relevant and of interest to members of the community.

We welcome contributions from local businesses describing their new products, offerings, services, or events which may be of interest to readers and we are pleased to promote them. We provide a directory of local businesses ( including B&B's) and groups and Buy and Sell for small items from individuals and a community calendar of events.

We do not charge for these services since they are provided for the community and do not believe this should change. We believe most local businesses already contribute to local charities, events or activities directly.

We will consider, further, whether a separate page for accommodation in the locality would provide a useful additional service.

Finally we would like to remind readers of our code of conduct, that given the above, public (and anonymous) criticism of local businesses and groups will be moderated and suggest such criticism should be addressed to the business concerned directly.
