There are many health benefits associated with Tai Chi, reduced blood pressure, reduced stress levels, increase in bone & joint strength and mobility to name a few. It is also really good for balance and I teach people with Parkinson's as it is known to slow down the progression in people with stage 1 or 2 Parkinson's.

However Tai Chi really gets interesting when you forget about what you look like, and start to notice how you feel as Tai Chi is mentally, as well as physically, grounding.

It is the perfect antidote to the pace set by our digital world, having been seduced for years by the delights and benefits of click-of-a-button rewards, you will learn that working slowly, with method and intention, can be, and is, just as gratifying!

Starter Courses

If you would like to try Tai Chi, and if there is enough interest, a new 4 week starter course will start on Friday 9th March at 3.30 pm at the Scout and Guide Hall.

These sessions are 50 minutes long and the cost is £20 for the full 4 week course.

All you need is to wear loose comfortable clothing, flat soled trainers or light flat soled shoes.

So come along and give it a go, as I can guarantee you'll soon find you are reaping the benefits of these gentle exercises, which everyone does at their own level, with the added bonus of making new friends.

If you would like to book onto this course please email Geoff Pike on jgp@gmail.com or text 07563665322. Geoff is unable to answer phone enquiries until 3rd March as he is on a training course.

Improvers Classes

Improvers Tai Chi classes resume on Friday 9th March at 11.15am.
