Your story of the 11th July (about the new 40mph speed limit at Swanbach) is incorrect in one point.*
The latest accident was only two weeks ago between a Land Rover towing a cattle trailer heading south and a van pulling out in front of it subsequently failing to stop after causing quite some carnage.
The Landrover was travelling at a speed lower than the new limit as well.
The sight line for vehicles pulling out to head north is a maximum of 22 metres which is, as you can imagine, not sufficient.
Land has been offered free of charge to the Highways department for over 30 years to move the junction but the offer is always declined as it insists there are no injury accidents there. Pah!
*Our apologies. While we were aware of the incident with the cattle trailer from a local blog, we didn't know it had happened in Swanbach. The incident we were referring to was an earlier one involving a car and motorcycle.
