Support for Leighton Therapy Teams

AudlemOnline received this message from local resident Moira Stanistreet, whom many will know especially those in the Audlem Bowling Club

I had a large cerebral bleed in August 2016 just before my 66th birthday, playing bowls for Audlem Bowling Club. I was in hospital for over 2 months, and could not use my left side.

The therapy team on ward 6 at Leighton and the community stroke therapy team, got me back on my feet and helped me walk again

People may have seen me in a wheel chair, then with a walking stick and now walking all be it with electrodes attached to my leg to help lift my foot., I go to our gym to help build up my strength. My challenge is to walk from Grassmere to Rydal – 5 miles to raise money for these teams this month.
