Eagle-eyed readers will have spotted that two sizeable "events" are due to pass through the village centre tomorrow (Sunday 14th) around lunchtime.
In the red corner will be a "lycrafest" of cyclists doing a sportive circuit from Sandbach (see here).
...and in the blue corner will be a "chunter" of vintage tractors doing a circuit from Tern Hill (see here).
Your referee will be Joe Hoyles of Audlem CW3
Several village Cafes will be prepared for the events from about 10am and the Lord Combermere will be open for coffee and drinks from around 11.15am. Other pubs open at 12noon. Chairs will be out along the main street – so that you can watch the cyclists and tractors come through in comfort!!
Audlem Charity Shop is running a special stall on Sunday morning (see here).
So do come along and watch the contest to decide who has right-of-way on our roads, the cyclist or the vintage tractor?
And, of course, support three worthy charitable causes
