Successful meeting for growing Guild

Sylvia Stead of South Cheshire Embroiderers' Guild reports: "On Thursday we were treated to a wonderful morning with Jenny Head who gave a talk on the subject "Embroidery for Bridal Wear and Fashion."

"She brought samples of embroidery she had created for wedding dresses and showed photo's of the finished dresses, but the highlight of the morning was the range of fabulous jackets created with felt and machine embroidery. Jenny allowed some of us to model the jackets which were a delight to wear. Such a buzz was felt at the meeting and all exclaimed what a great morning it had been.

"We have been very fortunate to have four new members and eight visitors since our exhibition last September and all have expressed how much they are enjoying themselves and what a friendly group we are. So why not come along and visit us in the New Year – you will be most welcome."
