1st XI held to a draw in rain-affected match

Following last week's defeat at Saughall, the 1st XI had to settle for a draw against Norbury in a rain-affected match at the Gorse Croft. The draw leaves them in third place in Division 2 of the Cheshire Cricket Alliance, on equal points with second-placed Ellesmere Port.

Audlem batted first and scored 173 for 6. In reply Norbury were 130 for 7.

There are now three matches remaining. On Saturday the 1st XI travel to Glazebury, who lead the division by 14 points, in what promises to be a tough encounter.

The 2nd XI have already clinched promotion. They entertain Sandbach at the Gorse Croft, needing just 11 points to be crowned champions of Division 5. The match starts at 1 pm.
