Speeding checks in Audlem

PC Ken Maple has been gunning for speeding motorists in response to residents' calls for a crack down at the last Community Action Meeting. There have been regular roadside speed checks on the three main roads into the village with a Falcon speed gun. A number of fixed penalty notices have been issued, one to a motorist doing 51mph in the Cheshire Street 30mph zone. Ken has said he will continue to spend some time each day encouraging motorists to curb their speed.
