In addition to the fantastic Scalextric race day here in Audlem on Sunday 28th February, it is also the day of the South Cheshire Model show at the Oakley centre in Crewe.

Certain to be a big local draw for 'children' of all ages (even those with a senior bus-pass) this annual event is a showcase for a world in miniature.

South Cheshire Militaire is the premier universal model show, held on the last Sunday of each February in Crewe, Cheshire.

The event features a host of stands and activities; club and trade stands intermingle in the main hall, whilst the upstairs gallery hosts the open competition, and a variety of other activities including radio control displays and demonstrations, artwork, wargaming and other modelling activites.

All types of modellers are welcome to the show; keen enthusiasts, beginners, IPMS members, independent modellers, indeed anyone interested in any aspect of modelling. There's always something for everyone and makes an ideal day out, even for non-modellers.

There are also modellers competitions, (it's not too late to enter-see form on the link !) and exhibitions of TV and Sci-Fi models and props. You can also buy various toys and kits at the trade stands in the hall.

The show is a great day out for all the family and sure to inspire a new generation of youngsters to get that sticky glue out and get building those Airfix!
