Yesterday was, of course, April Fools' Day and as usual AudlemOnline, following the great tradition established by Bob Cartwright from the earliest days of the website, published a number of stories that might be true, perhaps even should be true, but probably aren't.
Traditionally there is always one of them that is actually more or less true once the hyperbole and exaggeration that tend to grow round them has been removed.
This year the true story was, of course, the one about the scientific prediction of cowpats.
During the Summer ADCA are running a "spot the Cowpat" competition, inviting contestants to guess where the first cowpat will be.dropped by an unsuspecting cow when she is set loose inside a measured field on a pre-defined date early in October.
The contestant who has placed their X nearest the position of the cowpat will win a substantial prize.
Forms to be used to enter .the competition will shortly be available at many establishments within the village – full information will appear on AudlemOnline soon.
