Tomorrow, Saturday, 27th November, the monthly Short-ARS walk will be a circuit from the village southwards along the canal to near Adderley locks and then cutting eastwards to pass Highfields.

It's then a pleasant return to Audlem via Kinsey Heath and across fields to Wood Orchard Lane and a descent in to Audlem from Holmes Bank. It's just over five miles and there are no steep ascents.

Departure from Audlem car park at 10.00am. The walk will be led by Bob Cartwright.

Shortly after this walk, ideas will be discussed for the 2011 programme of Short-ARS walks. So, if you have any suggestions, bring them along on Saturday. Short-ARS was launched this year and has attracted a good following. The walks, normally on the fourth Saturday of the month, are typically 5 – 7 miles in length without major climbs and ideally local or within a 30 minutes drive.

The longer ARS (Audlem Ramblers Society) walks are on the second Saturday of the month and are normally over eight miles and range from Shropshire's hills to the Peak District and North Wales.
