Jeanette Shenton will be leading the April Short-ARS (Audlem Ramblers Society) walk this coming Saturday. This is her description:

This a lovely 5.5 miles circular walk starting at Brown Moss Nature Reserve, south east of Whitchurch.

The walk starts by skirting the Mere itself before rising gently through Ash Magna on to Melverley.
The walk is mainly along fields, quiet lanes and paths, with views to the mountains of North East Wales near the end. There is a total height gain of 180 feet.

When I recced the walk (7th April) it was quite muddy in places, some of the 13 stiles had seen better days and some were awkward to get over.

On the whole a pleasant walk (perhaps a 2 booter)

Meet in Audlem car park for 9.30 departure and a 10.00am start from Brown Moss Nature Reserve car park. The walk (including a coffee stop) should take approximately 3 hours.
