A Hankelow round trip of approx 4.5 miles
Saturday, November 25th
Starting from Audlem car park at 9.30 am we will leave the village via Monks lane up to Bunsey Bank then across fields to the now defunct golf course at Brookfields. After crossing the stream we go up hill on fields and bracken and moss to appear on the corner of Bridgemere Lane.
Turning sharp left we go down the main road for about 400 yards then branch right handed to go through Hankelow court. Then up the lane past Manor farm across fields to re-cross the main road at the bottom of Corbrook Court.
From there we walk on footpaths through The Parkes then back on to Monks Lane to return to the Village car park via the school and pavements.
We should be back in town by midday!
It will be wet underfoot and very muddy in places so be suitable attired and please bring a hot drink
NB All walkers must have suitable footwear and be prepared for adverse weather, carry food and water to last for the entire walk and be suitably fit for the various lengths of walk.
Each walk is led by a nominated leader who will carry some first-aid equipment. The leader has the right to refuse to include in a group anyone who is felt not be adequately equipped.
Non-members of ARS are welcome to come on a walk but are expected to join ARS and pay the membership fee after a trial walk or two.
