Hi all

This coming Saturday's Short ARS walk covers a series of local footpaths rarely walked. It is the Brooks Mill route featured in the local walks section of AOL tourist information. Last weeks recce showed some problems with overgrown stiles but these have been remedied by the rigorous cutting back of vegetation.

It is a walk of between five and six miles with a good number of stiles making it a three slipper rating. The leader on Saturday is Christine Johnson. It is a good walk for dogs if they can get over stiles easily.

Meet in the Audlem car park on the 25th August for a 9.30 departure

NB All walkers must have suitable footwear and be prepared for adverse weather, carry food and water to last for the entire walk and be suitably fit for the various lengths of walk.

Each walk is led by a nominated leader who will carry some first-aid equipment. The leader has the right to refuse to include in a group anyone who is felt not be adequately equipped.

Non-members of ARS are welcome to come on a walk but are expected to join ARS and pay the membership fee after a trial walk or two.
