With the clocks changing, thoughts turn to winter highlights. ADAS (Audlem District Amenities Society) is now selecting the large tree for the Christmas display in the Square. Ralph Warburton has been offered a lovely Norwegian Fir by Louise Evans of Buerton and has seen the tree with John Davies – John was the very first sponsor of the Audlem Christmas tree and has been involved in the felling of each tree since then. This year's tree is at present around 40 foot tall. It then has to be transported to the Square where Jonathan Gleave will help once again by erecting it into the special hole and then it will be lit by Phil Baker. Thanks to these volunteers, the result will be a magnificent sight for all from December 3rd.
