Saints return to winning ways

It was back to winning ways for the boys on Sunday. They dominated the game against Alsager Town Bears but could only register a single goal!

Such was Audlem's superiority in the first period that the Audlem goalkeeper did not touch the ball. A combination of good goalkeeping by the Alsager keeper and the woodwork kept out Audlem. To their credit though, the Audlem boys did not get frustrated and continued to create chances.The second period was more of the same, though Alsager did force a good save from the Audlem number 1. Patience was rewarded when a crisp shot from inside the box proved unstoppable to give Audlem a 1-0 lead. The final period was a little more balanced but Audlem held on to notch a deserved 1-0 win...having struck the woodwork no fewer than 9 times!!!
