Many will remember the Crewe and Nantwich Round Table Santa Sleigh that toured our villages last Christmas, with a merry band of volunteer gnomes. People from Audlem, Buerton, Hankelow, Cox bank and Kinsey Heath kindly contributed and a grand sum of £1200 was raised, so at ceremonies over the last two days, the guides, youth club and ADAS have each received a £400 cheque
On Tuesday Steve Taylor, Chairman of Crewe and Nantwich Round table, together with Peter Hargreaves and ably supported by Ami Taylor are seen here with Audlem Guides and Guide Leader Catherine Smith who said
"We really appreciate this donation from the Santa Run by the Round Table. We will be putting it to our 2017/2018 activities including our Alice in Wonderland Camp in October at Maer Staffordshire"
On Wednesday, Steve Robb and Josh George from the Round Table were at Audlem Playing Field where Kate Parkes and the Youth Club were enjoying Bangers and splash. Photographed here receiving the cheque Kate Parkes said " we are completely thrilled because it will genuinely help with the club activities and particularly towards equipment as we move to the exciting New Annexe"
Steve Robb and Josh George also presented a £400 cheque to Judy Tarrant and Neil Goodyear of ADAS, who said as they received their cheque " We are extremely grateful to Crewe and Nantwich Round Table and Santa for this generous gift"
A huge thank you to the Crewe and Nantwich Round Table, Santa ( Who shall be nameless but he knows who he is!) the volunteer gnomes who worked so hard.and especially to residents who contributed so freely.
