Parish councillor Dave Siddorns attended the Police Parish Cluster meeting on Tuesday evening.

He reports that the police asked residents to ensure sheds and out-buildings are locked to protect against theft. In the build-up to Christmas the police advise that thieves are often more active to help them to have a better festive season at other's expense.

Good news was reported with anti-social behaviour in Audlem said to be negligible.

Suspicious vehicles have, however, been seen in the area, notably white Transit-type vans. The police ask that if you do see suspicious behaviour involving a van or any other vehicle that you report it on 101 including the registration vehicle number, if possible.

The police, the meeting was told, will be targeting speeding on rural roads.

They also alerted road users that there can be mud on the roads at this time of year as the maize harvest is brought in and reminded farmers that it is their responsibility to clear away the mud as soon as possible.
