The Power of Google

Yesterday morning, AudlemOnline published a somewhat bizarre story about the new insole inserts that will guide people in the future on walking routes – See 'These Boots are made for Walking'.

The story had been researched the night before by Googling 'Smartshoe in Guardian', this being the on-line newspaper where the shoe inserts had been featured earlier in the day.

Before our version of the story appeared in public, however, but after it had been written and stored in the Control Panel that drives AudlemOnline, an email arrived from the company making the Smartshoes. A coincidence? Somehow, we suspect not.

It just goes to show that we are being watched by Google, very carefully, whenever or wherever we are on the Internet.

And if we buy those shoes, they'll even know just where we are walking!
