The Post Office Solution

Audlem Post Office closed in April 2016.

Despite a Government mandate that Post Office Ltd should provide a local Post office, within 3 miles, no progress has been made.

This is despite the efforts of the Parish Council, with some support from CE Leader, Rachel Bailey, and our MP Antoinette Sandbach.

So one of our entrepreneurial readers, Roland Hall ( or was it Sir Rowland Hill, Postal Service Inventor from Kidderminster?) decided to research how other countries may be able to help.

The result was a solution already provided to citizens in India.

A Floating Post Office, on the canal, which went from Nantwich to Overwater Marina, Audlem, Adderley and all stops to Market Drayton on a daily basis may be the answer!
