Poppy offer for Mend our Mum

Regular readers will have read yesterday's story about one of the ceramic poppies going on display at Williams' newsagents.

Now, we hear of another poppy that's arrived in the area: Jane Rees writes: "I see the Audlem girls Terri and Hannah have nearly finished the fundraising to get their mum Berni the money she needs for gallbladder cancer treatment.

"I have already donated cash and would now like to donate my ceramic poppy to raise more money.

"It arrived the other day from the exhibition in the Tower of London. A similar one went for £72 on Ebay the other day. I will donate it to the person who offers to give the highest amount to the Mend our Mum fund.
