West Mercia Police are appealing for witnesses following yesterday's fatal collision on the Adderley Road (A529) in Spoonley, just to the north of Market Drayton.
The collision happened at 2.15pm yesterday (Monday 7th July) and involved a transit van and a milk tanker. The driver of the van, a 34-year-old man, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the milk tanker, a 61-year-old man, was taken to hospital with non life threatening injuries.
The driver of the milk lorry was travelling from Adderley towards Market Drayton, while the driver of the van was travelling in the opposite direction.
The road was closed for a number of hours, whilst emergency services attended the scene.
Anyone with information is urged to contact police on 101 quoting incident number 372 of 7th July.
