Working from home. How Physiotherapy can help

As the pattern for working at home looks set to continue and for those who were already remote working prior to Covid-19, you might be experiencing more back and joint aches and pains.

Most home offices are not equipped with specialist ergonomic office furniture due to space and cost constraints. The likelihood is that the home office for many consists of a computer on a desk/kitchen table, or laptop based working from a chair or bed. However the consequences of working for extended periods of time in a poor posture are musculoskeletal injuries.

Physiotherapy can offer great help and Audlem Physiotherapist Philippa who is also a member of the Association of Chartered Physiotherapists in Occupational Health And Ergonomics (ACPOHE) can offer ergonomic assessment of your workstation at home as well as providing postural advice to help prevent future injury occurring.

Please be reassured that assessment can currently be carried out within social distancing requirements. If you are interested in booking a private assessment please call Philippa on 07854270796.
