Photos from The Big Switch On

We are pleased to publish a gallery of photos from last night's Big Switch On.

The first five are from Alisdair MacKenzie; the shot of big tree in the Square was sent in by Phil Baker and the remaining three are the best that the web team could muster with the editor's camera.

We have added three photos kindly sent in by Claire and Iain Wilson of Adderley – the bottom line of shots.

Alisdair's show some of the many candles as they were set afloat by the Audlem Lass team; Santa arriving on Audlem Lass; Bill Consterdine commentating with ADAS committee member Mike Hill and Olive Stretch (the big tree came from her garden) as the tree was illuminated; and several shots of the queue for the grotto and Santa hard at work.

Music was provided both by the children of St James' school on the church steps and the brass players outside Williams' newsagents.
