Representatives of Audlem Parish Council will be attending the special meeting of Cheshire East's Strategic Planning Board, called by the Leader of the Council, Cllr Michael E Jones, on Wednesday 1st May, to ensure that the views of Audlem residents are heard and form part of the evidence base for any decisions made.

Ahead of this meeting, the Parish Council has released the following brief statement which has been sent to Cheshire East Council:

"We, the Parish Council, representing the views of the residents of Audlem, fully support the stance taken by Cheshire East against this land grab across South Cheshire. We see no need for the large development at Audlem, not least because it does not take account of Audlem's Village Design Statement, a document which was drawn up on behalf of the community of Audlem, outlining its needs in terms of sustainable development for housing and employment."
