A packed Public Hall made sure it was a successful fund raising night for the RNLI and the Scout & Guide Hall last night. Around £1,200 was thought to have been made and a great night was had as the 60's music from New Moon Fever with Jim Kirkpatrick and Billy Gibbons and later from California Blue had everyone dancing. And when at midnight the exhausted dancers dragged themselves from the floor, spare a thought for the legendary Johnny Miller whose powerful drumming was a feature of both bands for over three hours. There was a change of shirt to a 'California Blue' style at the interval, but when he eventually passed the drumming duties to Billy Gibbons, it wasn't to take a well earned breather. It was straight to the mike where his vocal talent rounded off a hugely enjoyable night.
