Open Day at Overwater Marina today

This morning – it's Sunday for those that have lost all track of time in recent days – come and walk off some of your Christmas excess. Overwater Marina will be holding an Open Day between 10.00am and 3.00pm, today Sunday 27th December 2009.

Angus, Janet and Richard Maughan will be on hand to meet any interested moorers and provide more information.

Vehicle access is via Coole Lane and the site can also be accessed by walking along the towpath northwards from Audlem to Bridge 80, then following the appropriate signage. Wellies or stout boots are advisable.

As something of an update – the marina has passed British Waterway's "stilling test" which means that it is holding water and BW is happy for it to connect to the Shropshire Union.

Janet Maughan says: "A number of moorers have commented on what a warm welcome they have met when visiting Audlem for refreshments either before or after visiting the marina – testament to what a fantastic village we have!"
