Lance Pierson will be performing excerpts from St Mark's Gospel at St James Church on Sunday 7th November at 6.30pm. Lance doesn't stand still or read from a lectern but with simple movement and action, he acts the story out.

He launched his one-man performance of Mark's Gospel in 2002 with the aim of bringing its message within the reach of everyone and of giving people an overview of the whole story at one sitting.

Lance's performance of Mark's Gospel is accessible, enjoyable and moving.

Lance uses a modern translation to give the story a contemporary, relevant feel. It takes no background knowledge or technical language for granted. It is not a recital, but a one-man play performed with simple movement and characterisation.

The performance will last for one and a half hours plus a short interval. Tickets are not required but there will be a collection at the end of the performance. It promises to be an entertaining event so do come and join us.
