We are excited to announce that the development at 11 Cheshire Street is nearing completion. The builders started on site in Mid-February and we have a completion date of 7th June that we are working to and hopefully will achieve! This new and refurbished part of Audlem will be christened Number Eleven.
With completion in our sights we have been busy working with interested parties to fill the retail and residential space. We are thrilled to have already let one of the two bedroomed apartments and also three of the retail units.
We have two retail spaces still available, any interested parties please contact Kate at Oxtail & Trotter on 01270 811793 or info@oxtailandtrotter.com We are keen to find tenants who will complement other businesses in the village and will continue to make Audlem a desirable place to live and visit.
We can reveal that the larger unit shown as the Café on the plans in our window, has been let and will be known as The Pinfold. The new tenant – Kate – will introduce this new business to you and tell you more about the delicious menus that she will be offering very soon. She is currently busy creating recipes and working with local suppliers to ensure that she brings you fabulous coffee and cuisine.
Two other units are being let to the one tenant, who intends to run a pottery studio to be known as Hodgepodge. This will be a paint-your-own pottery studio where children and adults alike can choose a blank piece of pottery and then either come back to collect or arrange for onward delivery, once the item(s) has been glazed and fired.
Other crafts and a small range of gifts will also be available along with the option to have Children's parties, baby prints, and commissions. Our new tenant – Zahra Whittaker – will give a full description of her venture nearer the time.
The last twelve months has been hard work but both Hugh and I have thoroughly enjoyed working with, and getting to know the wonderful community of Audlem. We are really excited by this latest part of our venture and hope that everybody in Audlem can benefit from Number Eleven. We have tried to create a space that is befitting of Audlem's character but is fresh and vibrate and most of all a space that people can really enjoy.
We hope to use the courtyard space between the shops to create our "pop-up" fresh fish shop on Saturdays and also hold tasting events throughout the year in partnership with our other foodie friends – including Hoc's Fat Pigeon and The Pinfold.
We will keep you posted on opening dates and look forward to seeing you at Number Eleven soon. We would also like to take this opportunity to thank everybody for their support so far and their understanding while all the building work has been taking place.
