No Buy and Sell Images

Buy and Sell users may have noticed a distinct lack of images in the Buy and Sell section. We can assure you that this was not due to the Editor being cut off over the Weekend!

Readers may well remember that we have mentioned the need to rationalise the website photo galleries on occasions. This is because over the 10 years plus of AudlemOnline's existence the photo database has grown enormously. Many of the photos are now out of date and no longer relevant.

So last summer we embarked on a process of rationalising the galleries and deleting photos which were no longer of value. Since the database contained many thousands of photos this was a considerable and technically challenging task which involved writing items of software which selectively deleted photos.

One of those processes was a bit over zealous and thought the Buy and Sell images were no longer required and off they went into the cloud(s).

For users of Buy and Sell be assured the item for sale is still listed, however, if a potential buyer requires a photo of the item the seller should be contacted.

We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause but we have established that it will be difficult and extremely time-consuming to retrieve the lost photos..
