With Cheshire East's new chief executive Erika Wenzel planning to visit Audlem, hopefully before the new authority takes over responsibility for council services in April, Audlem Online is conducting Vote Polls on local services. We started by asking: "Are you generally happy with refuse collection arrangements." Votes cast indicate a reasonable level of satisfaction – 60% voted 'Yes'; 36% 'No' and 4% were unsure.

Next, we are asking: "Are Audlem's rural roads fit for purpose?" The debate about the new marina has focused on the state of Coole Lane. Other comments coming in to Audlem Online have spoken of the neglect of road surfaces in Buerton, at Corbrook and at Burleydam. The road surface in Audlem village centre outside Moseley's Yard has also attracted much comment.

Recognising that any dissatisfaction could be down to a host of reasons, a new Forum debate has also been started where more detailed responses can be posted. We hope this will provide lots of feedback for Erika Wenzel on an important council service.

In addition, village representatives are meeting the councillor in mid-January who will be responsible for Highways. Any feedback from the Vote Poll and Forum will be useful for that meeting.
