We have some delicious new Patchwork Pates in this week – Smoked Summer Trout, Peppered Mackerel, Chicken & Elderflower and the ever popular Brandy & Herb.

These should keep your summer entertaining nice and simple – a Pate, Salad & some hot crusty bread – what could be better?

Coming soon – some of you will be thrilled to hear that we have just placed an order with Smoke & Pickle – this is a local brand that we started off with in the very beginning – specialising in freshly prepared meals and sauces.

They have just brought out a very exciting new range of fresh marinades which – having tasted – I can confirm are a superb addition to any of our products. Our favourite so far has been the Satay Marinade.

Sausage & Cider Celebration

Did we mention that Oxtail & Trotter are in fact celebrating two years of trading next Saturday? We are really excited to be able to invite you all to a Cider & Sausage celebration next Saturday which will involve lots of tasters of – you guessed it – sausages & cider!

Our new range of sausages have been carefully trialled over the past few months and they contain over 90% outdoor reared pork, and basically a bit of seasoning. There are absolutely no ingredients including gluten in the recipe and therefore can be considered for customers sticking to a gluten free diet.

Wrenbury Cider, kindly provided by Winegeek will be on the tasting menu. Several varieties I believe – great news for all (staff & customers!).

If you are popping into the shop today, Hugh, Simon & Charles will be on duty in the shop to sort out anything you might require. We will have selection of fresh fish available and all the usual delights on the butchery counter.
