New book by Audlem historian

My book 'Kings and Bishops in Medieval England' will be published on Friday 18th September and go on sale the following Monday.

The book deals with the relationship of the kings of England with their bishops from the Norman Conquest to Magna Carta.

I have written it primarily for VIth formers studying Medieval History at 'A' level and undergraduates coming to Medieval History for the first time. But it is also written for the general reader who might have an interest in church history. It is not an arid academic tome!

On Wednesday 23rd September at 6.30pm for 7.00 Nantwich Book Shop will be holding an evening to promote the book. Tickets will be £5 including substantial snacks.

The quality of food at Nantwich Book Shop is very good as it is now a Coffee Lounge as well as a book shop. There will be a cash bar.

I hope it will be an enjoyable evening. There will be absolutely no obligation to buy the book.
