New Bar in the Public Hall

Another major step in the ongoing renovation and development of the Public Hall has now been taken with the complete re-fitting of the Bar.

The old cupboards and shelves have been replaced by sparkling glass shelves and mirrors, the worktops and serving hatch are now resplendent with a shiny jetblack finish and the sophisticated ambiance is completed by discreet nightclub-style spotlights.

The only downside is that Olive is understandably reluctant to let anyone actually use the bar for fear of spoiling its pristine appearance with bottles, glasses or the heinous crime of leaving ring-marks on the surfaces.

The first proper use of the new Bar will be at the ARS Celidh in support of the Air Ambulance next Friday, so those lucky enough to have procured tickets for this popular event will get first crack (or craich) at seeing the new Bar in all its splendour.
