Audlem Parish Councillors knew they were asking a lot when they requested volunteers to help put together a Neighbourhood Plan.

Little did they know that a very accomplished group of people would come forward to do the job in an astonishingly short amount of time.

Yesterday's news that the Neighbourhood Plan has entered the formal 6 week Pre-Submission Consultation stage demonstrates the very significant progress that the Steering Committee has made since October.

The eleven-strong group has worked incredibly hard to draw up Questionnaires to identify the key issues as seen by residents and businesses. The information gathered has been used to draft policies which we hope reflect your hopes for the way Audlem should develop over the next 15 years.

The Steering Committee has been assisted by other volunteers who have helped by delivering newsletters, sense-checking the policies and giving their opinions on the Plan along the way.

The Parish Council is very grateful to the Steering Committee and volunteers for the many hours they have freely given to get us to this stage in the process. There is still a long way to go but the Neighbourhood Plan will ultimately give the village a say in what development happens in the Parish.

Please do come to the Village Meeting in the Public Hall from 7pm on Wednesday 29th April from to give us your views on the policies proposed for your village.

Click Here to download a copy of the plan.

It is a large file and may take a little while to download. Hard copies will be available soon at various locations in the village.
