Visitors to AoL can now access lots information about Audlem's Neighbourhood Plan (NP) by clicking on the prominent Map banner on the Home Page.

Within the new 'Wikisite' there is a rapidly growing wealth of information about what Neighbourhood Plans are all about and how we are progressing.

Audlem's NP is being produced by the village, for the village. It must be approved by Audlem's residents via a Referendum, prior to being approved by Cheshire East Council.

At that point it will become a Statutory Planning Document that planners must take account of in their planning decisions.

Developing such a plan is a massive task. Typically it will take 12-24 months to complete and requires significant efforts by volunteers as well as an active response by as many of the residents as possible.

The recent questioning by The Planning Inspectorate of significant aspects of Cheshire East's Local Plan, together with the news that Cheshire East's Strategic Planning Board is being recommended to approve the application to build 26 properties off Heathfield Road, when it meets on Wednesday 10th December, means that the production of our Neighbourhood Plan is even more urgent as, until this is in place, Audlem remains vulnerable to speculative development.

As well as a contact form on the new website, the Steering Committee can be easily contacted via their new email address, np@audlem.org

They welcome all contact, questions, ideas and all offers of assistance!
