Today sees a key milestone in the plan's development. It was sent to over 500 statutory and other bodies to provide an opportunity for them to comment on our plan.

Part of the formal approval process for the plan is that it must be sent to all recognised bodies (a list provided by Cheshire East Council) whose interests may be affected by the Plan.

They have a period of 6 weeks within which to comment on the Plan.Immediately a Draft Plan is submitted it becomes officially recognised as an Emerging Plan. As such it will be taken into consideration for any new development applications that are made to Cheshire East Council.

There are examples where Emerging Plans have successfully been used to prevent inappropriate developments. There are no guarantees of course, but if we don't make an attempt, then we will definitely have NO influence over the future of Audlem.

Don't forget that on Wednesday, from 7.00pm in the Public Hall, you will have a chance to informally discuss the content of the plan – as well as sample the complementary delights provided by Oxtail & Trotter, Lllovely and Wine Geek.

Note – this is a 12Mb document so it may take a few moments to download!
