This week's Chronicle features seven Audlem schoolchildren pictured with local MP Stephen O'Brien. He was born in Africa and was interested to hear about the school's links with a Ugandan school. He was visiting Audlem St James' Primary School to learn more about the school's links with Namasujju School near Kampala.

The link was established eighteen months ago by teacher Jodie Oliver. Headteacher Catherine Nolan-Burnitt said: "Mr O'Brien is committed to helping eradicate malaria in Africa so his visit centred around that. Our children have been writing to Namasujju School, talking about everyday things like the clothes we wear and the food that we eat and life in general. They have written back to us and we have responded gain.It is very useful for our children to learn about other cultures."
