I have written to the Police and Crime Commissioner, Mr John Dwyer expressing my concern and I suspect the concerns of many in our parish, regarding the progress or rather the apparent lack of it, in ascertaining what has happened to the missing parish council funds totalling approximately £163k. I have copied in our MP Mr Timpson with a request that he passes our concern onto the Home Office.

The police have had 17 months in which to employ a forensic accountant to track down the loss of our money but the progress to date appears to be sub glacial. If like me, you are aggrieved at this poor performance you could add your name to an email to both our MP and PCC The more discontent that we as a parish show to our representatives, the greater will be the urgency for action.

It will soon be election time again and although there is no guarantee that our money will be recovered we at least deserve to know the cause of its loss and who were involved. I have sent a copy of my letter to the Police and Crime Commissioner to Audlem parish council for their information.
