Mid-ARS walks this year

Regular readers of AudlemOnline will know that ARS (Audlem Ramblers Society) organises a programme of Long and Short walks through the year.

The Long walks are on the second Saturday of each month and the Short ones on the last Saturday of the month.

The group decided, following its AGM in February, to introduce a number of Mid-ARS walks to fill the gap between the 5 mile short walks and the longer (normally 10 miles or so).

These will take place on those months with five Saturdays – on May 16th, August 15th and October 24th.

The May walk is from Bishops Castle in Shropshire and will be led by Jackie Stringer and Chris Proctor.

The August walk will be led by John Tilling and details will be published nearer the date. The October walk will be led by Steve and Chris Elliott and will be from Hollinsclough in the Peak District.

A reminder that tomorrow sees the April Short-ARS walk. Meet on Audlem car park at 9.30am for the short drive to Brown Moss near Whitchurch. The walk is to be led by Jeanette Shenton and will take about three hours.
