There's an interesting talk coming up at Adderley Village Hall on Friday 7th November, 7.00pm for 7.30pm.

Dr Michael Leach is a full time wildlife photographer and author. He has travelled to all 7 continents and worked with many of the world's most charismatic animals – polar bears in the Arctic, gorillas in central Africa, lemurs in Madagascar, sperm whales in the mid-Atlantic, monkeys in the Amazon, penguins in the Antarctic and elephants in Kenya.

Michael sets aside part of each year for presentations; to date he has presented talks in 11 countries.

Michael has been described as 'a unique wildlife humorist' and has spoken at Arts Festivals, Theatres, Schools, Universities, Rotary Clubs, After Dinner events, Science Festivals and Lecture Societies. His talks are lively, informative and thought-provoking.

He is a recommended speaker for the RSPB and National Trust. The talks are illustrated with original images taken during his expeditions.

It's a Funny Way to Make a Living

Michael explains the basics of his art in this revealing, humorous introduction to the realities of professional wildlife filming. This is most definitely NOT a technical talk, Michael explains how to coax animals into the right spot and convince them that no-one is watching.

He uncovers cunning, underhand tricks-of-the-trade that produce amazing photographs. Be prepared to have some illusions shattered!

Cost is £14/head to include a cold buffet and a pud. If you want to attend, it is necessary to book through Roy Plume on 01270 812114 for catering planning reasons. This is a Probus event but if there are any spaces left, non-Probus members will be welcome.
