We make a choice on how we spend every 1p. By law, we must make those choices within a balanced budget.

Bins, roads, and parks matter – but they cost a fraction of your council tax.

• Waste and cleaning: 10p
• Roads and transport: 5p
• Parks and libraries: 2p
• Most of your money (nearly 70p) goes where it’s needed most: care for vulnerable people.

It’s about protecting those who need us most.
